Our Odyssey began, as always, at the Escapee Raccoon Valley RV Park in Knoxville, TN.   Cliff, Ben and Frodo, my son Alan's dog, spend one last evening together.

As the sign says, World's Largest Apple Basket.  Well, the Longaberger Basket Company's Corporate Headquarters in Newark, Ohio must surly be the World's Largest Picnic Basket.
Some trivia: the handles on the HQ are heated to keep ice from forming, and weigh 150 tons. The center of the building is a 30,000 square foot atrium.

MICHIGAN ESCAPEE CHAPTER VI RALLY in FOWLERVILLE, MI.
June 17th to the 20th, 2004

On the left is Lon and Carolyn VanOstran, on the right Bob and Carolyn Cox, the co-hosts for the 2004 Chapter 6 Rally for the Escapee RV Club.  We came as guests of Lon and Carolyn expecting a few rigs, and a couple of days rest.  NEVER HAPPENED!  These folks know how to throw a party.  44 rigs had shown up by Friday Evening, and around the campfire at Happy Hour, we had 67 folks enjoying music and good times.

If you are ever in the area, a trip here is well worth the time.  Here is a sample of the many fine exhibits, admittedly, the "best."  A Model "T" pulling a 1913 Custom Camper.

WAUPUN, WISCONSIN and "The End of the Trail"
by Earl Fraser
July 10, 2004

We finely made it to Waupun, WI to see the famous statue of Earl Fraser's "The End of the Trail".  The original model was sculpted when Fraser was 17, and was only 18 inches tall.  The above statue was cast in bronze for the city of Waupun, WI
