On our way to Alaska,

we stopped off at several other places of interest.

Here are a few we especially liked.

BADLANDS !
   The sign says it all.

Enjoying the view, while thinking  how very, very Lucky they are to have a nice air conditioned car waiting for them.

We're in a nice motorhome with AC. We could not imagine being in this country with only a horse.

Mt. Rushmore, monument to four of our Greatest Presidents.

Lincoln/Borglum Museum
A statue of Lincoln in front of the museum, a great place to start the Rushmore Tour.

Wild Burros -
A young lady feeding one of the many burros that make Custer State Park their home.

In about 60 or so years, if you come back, the mountain at the right will look like this.

Yep, Eye of the Needle
- our driver drove his tour bus through the tunnel.
